I am alive.

Mostly.

Yes I realize I haven't updated since February.

Dammit, I've been kinda busy this year.

So anyway, I told you back in February that my sister was having baby #2.
Guess what.
He's seven months old now and I've never posted a picture of him on my blog.
Bad aunt Kelley!!

Yeah, I know. I have super cute nephews.
It's pretty cool.
I got them their Thing 1 and Thing 2 shirts when I went to Florida recently.

Or even uploaded my Harry Potter theme park pics to my computer from my phone.

Minus the fact that it was like one hundred degrees outside that day.

Welcome to Insane Nashville Weather 2010!!!

This happened in January when we went to Twitour.

Frozen Tundra of Doom.

Nashville doesn't get a lot of snow, but we are fond of our ice storms.
Especially when everything shuts down.
Awesome.
NOT.

Then this happened in May.
Even less awesome than January's Frozen Tundra of Doom.

Welcome to our homes!
I hope no one has any mutant babies due to the toxic flood waters.

The awesomeness reached my parent's neighborhood, but luckily the house did not get any damage.

I can't say the same for the houses across the street...

Or most of the homes in Bellevue, including my Grandmother's.

Someone could have made a total killing selling boats on the side of the flooded road.
Just sayin'...

Well, since we had such a cold winter that came with a kick-ass ice storm and a spring that came with a great flood of nasty water, we could only assume that at least the summer was going to be somewhat mild and not at all like hell fire.

WRONG!!!!!

Thank you heat index for nearly killing me the majority of the summer.

Nashville was a total sauna!

No lie.

It was a nightmare to my hair.

Ah yes.

I moved.

And then I moved again.

I should take up the art of moving and turn it into a profession.

Hello readers!

Here I am!

I am alive and kicking and back from

TWITOUR!!!!

Now, before I begin, I have a couple of things to talk about.

ONE:

My sister will be having a baby tomorrow!

He was supposed to come out on February 12th, but due to complications they are taking him out earlier.

So tomorrow we will be welcoming

Matthew Jacob

into the world!

I am so excited!

I hope Patrick loves his little brother because there goes all his attention!

I love this kid!

He's the greatest!

I went and saw Avatar with my co-teacher last weekend.

I had the stars sign my Eclipse book.

I didn't get vampire fangs at the bottom of his autograph because he was so upset about spelling my name wrong. He had to go put that E back up in there! Oh well.

It was all kinds of fun!

Okay, so he is definitely hotter in person!
He's also crazy hyper, but he was fun to watch onstage!
When it came to answering questions from the audience, he just hopped right off that stage and walked into the audience.
Fangirls died a little.
It was pretty neat.

Kiowa Gordon (aka Embry Call) arrived to the hotel right before he got onstage.
The poor guy was sick and had been on a plane for six hours.
So stupid fangirls asked ridiculous questions.
"What color is your toothbrush?"
"Do you have a girlfriend?" He does.
"Is she famous?" No.
"Does Bronson have a girlfriend?"
So I almost committed several acts of homicide.
Poor guy.
Still, I enjoyed getting my photo taken with them.

Reasons Why I Fail At Life

Reason #1:

I cannot cook

anything!!!

Once upon a time,

about a year ago,

I was trying to cook macaroni and cheese.

I've cooked this a million times in my life.

However, on this one fateful night

THIS HAPPENED!

I turned on the wrong burner and there were eye covers.

Needless to say...

FAIL!

I recently attempted to cook bacon in the microwave the way my dear sweet BFF Julieperk told me to.

She did it.

She explained how I need to do it.

Well well well...

I have no picture to explain this but let's just say...

FAIL!

Last night, I had a Totino's pizza which I put in the oven.

Guess who forgot to take the pizza out of the oven for almost five minutes after the timer went off?

FAIL!

Tonight, I tried to microwave some instant coffee from Starbucks.

Guess what?

I burned my coffee!

FAIL!

Reason #2:

I have not updated this blog since before Thanksgiving!

And it's not like there hasn't been some bad attitude going around!

I've simply been busy.

CHA!

FAIL!

Reason #3:

I've been reading the same book for over two weeks now.

Why?

Because I've been busy.

Wonderful book...what I have read so far!

But I am only in the early early part of the book.

I usually read like it's going out of style.

FAIL!

Reason #4:

I can't walk!

Seriously...

I can't walk!

FAIL!

Reason #5:

I know this frickin' awesome...thing!

But it's a secret!

So I can't tell anyone!

AND IT SUCKS!

Luckily I'm not a blabbermouth...

BUT DAMN!

This sucks!

I want to tell everyone!

And I can't!

FAIL!

Or maybe that counts as a

Bad Attitude's Book Review

The Girl Next Door

by Jack Ketchum

I read this book over a period of two days, and I can say, without a doubt, that the subject matter of this book is beyond disturbing. The story is about a girl named Meg and her sister Susan who go to live with their Aunt Ruth and three male cousins after their parents are killed in a car accident in 1958. Susan is temporarily crippled from injuries sustained in the accident, and Meg comes out with one big scar on her arm. The story is told in first person from the perspective of a twelve-year-old boy named David, who lives next door to the characters in the book. Meg is a fourteen-year-old girl who is suddenly forced to endure punishments that gradually become more heinous as time goes on at the hands of her aunt. She also lets her three sons, and eventually other children in the neighborhood punish her however they like. She is locked in a basement where she is often tied, gagged, and blindfolded while being beaten, tortured, and ultimately raped. The narrator, who meets Meg and befriends her at the beginning of the story, goes from being a spectator (never a participant) to trying to help Meg and her sister escape from their prison. While completely disgusted by the abuse this girl suffers, I found myself unable to put the book down, simply searching for the light at the end of the tunnel. The book itself is amazing although difficult to stomach at times. I have not seen the movie, and I am not sure if I would be able to handle it, truth be told.

I was quickly brought back to the real world while reading this book. If only we really had heroic vampires and adventurous wizards to save us.

End Review

Now that I've thoroughly depressed/distrubed everyone with my less than humorous opening for my blog, I will now turn to things of a lighter note.

Potter Puppet Pals: Snape's Diary

Since I'm so insanely obsessed with Harry Potter (moreso than Twilight), I'm going to talk about it.

Sooooooo...

I would like to discuss my favorite character.

From the moment I first began reading Harry Potter, Professor Snape was my favorite character despite being sallow and mean to his students.

I always knew there was more to him than we knew.

When he killed Dumbledore (for the love of God, if you did not know this bit of information by this point, then you need to catch up like right now), I refused to believe that he was a bad guy.

And when I learned the whole truth about Snape in the Deathly Hallows, I loved him even more.

I was a Snape supporter from beginning to end!!

There is so much more I'd love to say about this character, but I do have friends who have not made it to the final book, and since there is not yet a movie, I do not want to ruin anything more than I have.

So, who else out there is a big Snape fan?

I'm feeling especially introspective today.

I'm not sure why.

I always have more to write about, but usually forget about it by the time I start a'writin'.

Such is life.

Perhaps this will be your moment of zen.

I need sleep.

WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS FROM ALL BOOKS AND BOTH MOVIES!!!

DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT ANY SURPRISES RUINED FOR YOU!!!

I feel the need to discuss aspects of the movie I particularly enjoyed or those that simply stuck out in my mind.

So here goes.

1) Edward Cullen

(wow, like we didn't see that one coming)

Why, hello tall, pale, and handsome!

We've waited many many (and believe me when I say many) days for you!

Of course, I also expected to sit through the movie saying

"Where's Edward? OMG!"

Then there were shirtless werewolves and I got distracted....

Anyhoo...

the subject of Edward Cullen leads me to this.

2) The Break-Up Scene

(if I've spoiled anything for anyone, deal with it)

Luckily, I got my "boo-hoo's" out of the way the first time I saw this movie.

It was heartbreaking.

I felt Bella's pain because breaking up sucks for everyone.

Basically the whole movie is all about Bella being extremely depressed and becoming an adrenaline junkie just so she can hear Edward's voice, but not receiving any form of psychiatric help for her odd behavior.

However, I'm lead to believe that Edward was even more down in the dumps after leaving Bella for this particular reason.

Aside from the fact that Edward is trying to kill himself so he doesn't have to live in a world without Bella (because he believes her to be dead), Edward wears the same outfit for the entire movie.

That boy was gone for six months and did not change his clothes once!

Talk about lacking motivation!

Hello, Edward, just because you don't have to shower doesn't mean your clothes aren't going to get a bit ripe after awhile! I mean, you were in the jungle at one point!!

3) The Volturi

I attempted to find the Solimena painting of the Volturi shown in the movie, but there were no images of it on google. So I'm using this image to discuss the painting.

I thought this scene was quite comical...I can't really figure out why.

It just made me laugh.

However, as Edward went on to describe the Volturi, and the camera panned in on the painting, the characters started to...move!

I thought this only happened in Harry Potter!!

So I might have geeked out for a second because I thought of Harry Potter, and I may have lost focus for a few seconds. No big deal really.

It was a nice way of explaining the Volturi, and showing a bit of Carlisle's past since that was blatantly left out of the first movie!

4) Charlie Swan

I love Bella's dad!!!

I wish Billy Burke had not been so deadset on having the ugly pornostache for the movie, but he's still hot, and this is probably because he is totally hilarious.

Charlie referring to himself as a "terminal bachelor" and being "a real ladies man" had me rolling through all three viewings (yes three, shut up) of the movie.

That guy has also come close to death by crazy vampires more than once and has no clue.

He doesn't even know this his own daughter's boyfriend is a vampire and that her best friend is a werewolf.

He's a good dad though, and does everything he can to protect Bella.

5) Harry Clearwater

What a great character.

"Don't worry, Bella. Those bears won't get the drop on me."

So I was discussing what happened to Harry with a friend of mine because what happens to him in the book isn't exactly what happens to him in the movie.

His heart attack is a result of his son and daughter turning into werewolves in the book, but in the movie his heart attack is a result of Victoria basically scaring him to death.

She's a scary bitch.

That's a true story.

I do think that what happened in the movie made things more personal when the Cullens and the Quileutes have to go up against Victoria and her army of newborn vampires in Eclipse.

Graham Greene did a great job with the character, and I wish he was going to be in the final two movies.

6) Victoria

What a badass!!!

Geez!

I am so glad the movie added action sequences that were not in the book!

And can we say creepy?

While Bella was busy drowning in the ocean because apparently cliffdiving is the most wonderful idea to see Edward and hear his voice, Victoria is swimming towards her, and she kind of reminded me of a shark.

The red eyes probably had a lot to do with it too.

Hmmm...I don't know.

Anyway, after seeing Rachelle Lefevre's (I don't know how to spell her freakin' last name) performance in the movie, I'm almost sad that she is being replaced.

Almost.

Bryce Dallas Howard will be playing Victoria in Eclipse. She's a whopping one day older than me and a thousand times more successful.

Oh well.

I haven't seen her play a bad guy yet, so this should be fun to watch.

7) Jacob Black

(holy hell, son!)

Hot damn!

I mean...*thud*...

Just...damn!

I can't decide if I'm Team Jacob or Team Edward now!

Please don't put a shirt on.

And please hurry up and turn 18!!

And after you turn 18, please don't put a shirt on!

The same goes for the rest of your wolf pack!

How many well-toned abs can you fit into one movie?!?!

How much drool can one little keyboard take?!?!

8) Hearing Damage

And no, I'm not talking about the result of way too many teeny boppers screaming during the movie the first time Jacob removed his shirt or when Edward slow-walked from his Volvo at the beginning of the movie.

I'm actually referring to the song Hearing Damage by Thom Yorke played during a very pivotal moment during the movie.

It sort of brought everything together nicely before the big climax of the movie.

I don't have a picture to share with you.

Deal with it.

9) Alice's Vision

Good God.

Really?

This was the most lamespice moment of the movie, as depicted in this lamespice picture of Edward and Bella running through the woods together after she becomes a vampire in the future (aka Breaking Dawn).

10) Jane

Dakota Fanning.

Yikes.

I hope I never make you mad!

I'm not particularly fond of your brand of pain!

11) Aro

Delightfully creepy, yet bizarrely charming.

12) Felix

You are huge!

O_o

Daniel Cudmore makes 6'1" Robert Pattinson look like a hobbit!

And Felix kicks Edward's ass!

13) Carlisle

I heart Peter Facinelli!

Carlisle, there is no way you are going to hell!

Okay, I'm gonna wrap this up.

Me and the Julieperk enjoyed watching the movie together twice and laughing at highly inappropriate times (i.e. while Bella was drowning, when Laurent was getting ready to kill Bella, when Jacob jumps through Bella's window) all thanks to Peter Coffin and his fake New Moon trailers/parodies.

New Moon was way better than Twilight.

Eclipse will be here on June 30th!

And I'm still trying not to get too impatient over Harry Potter coming out either.

My friend Tricia posted this video on Facebook, and I stole it (well, not technically since it wasn't hers).

FYI: This might contain spoilers for those of you miscreants who haven't read the books yet!

I'm going to cry like a crazy person when Harry Potter is finished for good.

Well, my friends, it is official.

I am moving to a new apartment.

This will, in fact, be my fifth (yes, fifth) time to move this year.

Moving has lost all its excitement, and now I'm just bored, stressed, and aggravated.

I don't know how I manage all three of those emotions at once, but I do it.

My brother-in-law, who has helped me move each and every time, jokes that I should not get comfortable since I will just be moving again in six months.

I hope to all that is sacred this is not the case this time.

This apartment comes with a fourteen month lease.

I might have a nervous breakdown of monstrous proportions if I'm told I will be moving again so soon.

Remember, Kelley, just breathe.

Don't forget to breathe!!!

Anyhoo, I'm moving to this fabulous little apartment complex called

The Preserve at Brentwood.

The only thing that would make it nicer would be if it was actually located in Brentwood.

But, seeing that I'm a girl of extremely limited funds and trying to figure out if I will learn to grow money trees in time for my first rent payment so I can still afford to eat, I'm going to squash that desire by saying

"beggars can't be choosers."

Dammit.

However, this apartment that my brother and I are sharing has one very awesome perk.

This baby is mounted to the wall of our living room.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeet!!

Now we just need furniture and shit to go around it.

Ain't life grand?

In other news...

I did get my hair cut, colored, and styled by a super cool gal named Rachel.

I met her through Julieperk, and she totally rocks my socks off! :)

I'd like to think yes because it'll be totally cute if I can.

I love my new hair, and I have gotten several compliments on it! :)

The only thing I don't really get at the moment?

Why people suddenly tell me I look like Kristen Stewart.

All I know is we both have oval-shaped heads.

And dark hair.

And pale skin.

Is anyone seeing some resemblance that I'm totally blind to?

I mean, I'm not complaining, but I just don't see it.

And I've been told by like five different people that I look like her.

Someone help me understand!

I'm so confused!

Moving right along...

I have once again started reading Twilight since I finished all seven Harry Potter books.

I am quite alarmed to report that after getting into Harry Potter's wizarding world, that getting sucked into Bella's world is working quite as well for me anymore.

I think it goes without saying that Harry Potter is my first true love, and Twilight will have to settle for being my friend that I love, but can't give my complete heart to because Harry Potter already has it.

Yes, I am a Muggle through and through.

I have recently discovered an amazing website.

Harry Potter Lexicon

I am addicted to this cornucopia of wizarding information.

There are so many amazing facets of Harry Potter that I wish I could discuss with other people.

I'd love to take my time on sharing my thoughts about the books and how the series ended (but I'm waiting for some people to finish reading the series).

I'm sure that after I finish the Twilight series, I will have no problem reading the Harry Potter books again as this addiction is quite fierce.

If you have never read Harry Potter, I encourage you to do so!

J.K. Rowling is a superb writer, and while I might be smited to hell by frenzied Twilight lovers, she is without a doubt a much more talented author.

This is nothing against Stephenie Meyer as she has drawn me into her series several times, but I'm a girl who enjoys looking at themes and various points of foreshadowing (pardon the English Major here) that J.K. Rowling put into each and every one of her books.

I am a nerd, and I'm proud of it!

Let's get one thing straight though...

If New Moon does not hurry up and get here I am going to start throwing my increasingly vast collection of books at the heads of everyone who slows the coming of this event down for me in any way.

We, the Twilight people, have spoken and we are tired of waiting.

How many of us were there when the countdown showed more than 200 days?

How many of us frequented newmoonmovie.org and refreshed every five minutes for the latest updates?

How many of us discovered TwiCrackAddict and her OCD blogging and followed along?

How many of us watched the MTV Movie Awards just to see a New Moon trailer?

How many of us went to Twitter Jail to get Peter Facinelli (Dr. Cullen) 500,000 followers on Twitter?

How many of us crossed our fingers that this would become the official New Moon poster?

I rest my case.

Besides, the uncontrollable drooling is about to start, and I don't know if you guys can read much more.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner!

Keep your tummies empty so you can pig out and enjoy all the food you know you'll eat anyway!

Seasonal Depression has reared its ugly head.

Thank you, multi-million dollar pill companies for producing caplets I must swallow on a daily basis in order to avoid a possible nervous breakdown.

So here's the deal.

Three hundred and sixty five days a year, I suffer from what is known as Major Depressive Disorder as well as a Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

I can keep these minor annoyances in my life fairly balanced when I am on a decent medication.

Unfortunately, there isn't much I can do when the Seasonal Depression hits.

It gets dark earlier.

The holidays are coming.

And I am experiencing an overwhelming sense of apathy and lethargy.

I find myself zoning out more frequently and having more difficulty controlling my temper.

All in all, this just plain sucks.

But not for me the furrow brow...

Instead, I've taken this opportunity to think about what I might be thankful for.

To say the least, 2009 has been quite an interesting year.

1) Friends

This has been a year for losing friends, but where I lost one or two, I gained many many more.

There will always be the friends in my life who have never let me down, never betrayed me, have watched me through my worst moments and still loved me despite my bad attitude (whether it be actual or something I'm accused of having because some people are just plain ignorant).

Without the love and support (and fair amount of verbal abuse aimed at anyone who has hurt me or pissed me off monumentally), I would probably be completely lost.

So thank you Julie, Andrea, Spiff, Emily, Shelley, and Allison for always being ones I can count on.

I'd also like to thank Brad (even though were rarely see each other anymore). When he found out I lost my job, he not only said things to make me laugh and feel better, but also congratulated me on getting out of that hellhole once and for all. I trust him more than anyone, I've told him more than I've told anyone, and even though we don't speak as much as we used to, I know that I will always be able to go to him if I ever really need to.

2) Family

This year has, indeed, been quite testing as far as family goes.

If anything, I know that my parents are amazing, and they did the very best job they could with the three of us fighting and making their lives hell for the first 18 years of our existence.

My mother and father are amazing, and each year I realize just a little more how important they really are to me.

On a side note: I'd like to thank my brother-in-law for helping me move several times this year. Our running joke is that I will be moving again in six months, so why bother getting settled where I am?

3) My Job

I honestly had the hardest time coming into my current job.

It is the same line of work as before, but there is so much about it that is so different.

I believed that I would never get used to the place, and that everyone would continue to mistake my standoffish nature and quietness for bitchiness and snobbery.

I feel like I have really started to fit in, though, and that is saying a lot for someone who does not like change one tiny bit.

I love my bosses.

It makes my life easier having bosses that don't talk down to me.

It's nice having bosses that don't really play favorites.

It helps working with two other people who know where I am coming from.

I admit that I get a little nervous because my current place doesn't seem as organized, but I've discovered that things are handled with quite a bit more professionalism, and that puts my mind at ease.

Things I'm Looking Forward To:

New Moon

The first time I saw the countdown we had over 200 days!

We are now down to less than two weeks!

Thanksgiving

Well, I think I am.

I'm looking forward to the food.

Last night while watching Vampire Diaries and continuously marveling over the difference between the books and the tv show, I had more thoughts.

Yeah, it happens a lot.

Hokey, so here goes.

1. Stefan Salvatore is completely lickable.

I wish he'd smile more often!

2. Damon continues to piss me off!

I liked Lexi!!!

And that butthole killed her!

I still prefer book Damon to tv show Damon.

3. How come these protectors of Mystic Falls didn't make the connection that they were talking to Damon Salvatore (the vampire) considering his name is on the list of attendees to the first party over 100 years ago?

I mean, c'mon!

They know Stefan and Damon are vampire brothers!

Don't they?

At this point I'm mostly just very confused anyway.

4. Bonnie is a witch.

Duh.

5. Vickie...

What a short-lived character.

She lasted way longer in the books and was a lot more messed up!

6. Why did they combine Bonnie and Meredith?

Both characters were equally important in the damn books.

Dammit!

I guess that more or less covers my thoughts on last night's episode.

Now on to Supernatural.

The Trickster is actually Gabriel the Archangel.

I was hoping he'd be hot.

Like Castiel.

All Angels should be this hot!

Anyhoo...

Castiel got the crap beat out of him.

He looked confused at the end.

Like always.

The Trickster stuck Sam and Dean in various tv shows.

Once upon a time...

I read this amazing book called

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

It ended up being my favorite of the Harry Potter books until book 7 came out.

But we're not here to discuss that.

My point is, I fell in love with this character in the book named Cedric Diggory.

Then Voldemort (aka Creepy Asshole) killed him and I cried.

Moving right along...

A not so short time later, the movie

Harry Potter and the Roblet of Fire

hit the big screens.

This guy named Cedric jumped out of a tree, and from that moment through the end of the movie I was drooling and dreading his impending death.

Anyhoo,

my point being is that from the moment Robert Pattinson appeared onscreen as Cedric Diggory, I found myself swooning immediately, much to the annoyance of my boyfriend.

Then after Moldy Voldy Avada Kedavra'd him, I bawled my eyes out and felt like I was going to be lost without this gorgeous piece of man meat to come along into the next HP movie.

This movie was the start of what would turn out to be a major crush on Robert Pattinson.

Well, all was right with the world again when this happened.

Ummm...more specifically, Robert Pattinson was now playing a hot as shit vampire, and I was stoked!

Don't worry, because by this point my boyfriend and I were no more.

And I loved that everyone shared my thought...

Cedric Diggory became a hot vampire after being killed by an unforgivable curse.

Long story short: I was in love with RPattz before he became known as RPattz.

Now that we're up to speed on my crush, I'd like to discuss a few things.

OK! Magazine, tabloid magazine extraordinaire, has informed us that KStew and RPattz have indeed headed for Splitzville for various reasons, as stated in the magazine itself.

First of all, I don't particularly buy into what OK! Magazine spouts out because I'm convinced they just make up their stories based on "inside sources" that are about as inside as I am.

However, if what they say is true, here are my thoughts.

Kristen Stewart likes to go out. Robert Pattinson likes to stay in and listen to music and order food.

RPattz, I am totally the girl for you because I, too, hate going out for fear that I will be mauled by drunken morons...okay, really, I'm just antisocial. Okay, so maybe I don't get mauled by adoring fans, but there was this time I went out with my friend Andrea (Bad Attitude Sistah Supreme) and I might have been a little drunk and this drunk guy followed us from this one bar to the next. The guy kept biting my neck and I was totally annoyed because it didn't feel good! C'mon! I do get mauled by drunken men who think they can worm their way into my heart by telling me how hot I am.

See? We're both trapped by circumstance...you're really hot and I'm just...good at pretending I have a buttload of self-confidence apparently.

RPattz, you're talking about being ready to get married to KStew, but the girl is only 19. I, on the other hand, am 28 and single for two years now. I may be five years older than you, but that makes me a cougar, and aren't guys supposed to think that's hot? I'm not ready to get married either, but if you wanted to marry me, I'd totally make an exception.

RPattz wants to live in London. KStew wants to live in L.A.

I would love to live in England, Rob!

Just keep that in mind.

I visited recently and fell in love with the country.

I think we could get along famously.

The only earthquake I have ever experienced was an aftershock that reached us all the way from Chicago or something like that, waking me up at 4:00 in the morning because my bed was jerking all around. The only thing is, I was pretty sure that I was so tired I had just imagined the uncomfortable jolting and fell right back to sleep. England appeals to me for various reasons. Mostly, that no mosquitoes, poisonous spiders, venomous snakes, and bad American drivers thing.

Just give it some thought.

You have your adoring female fans, but I know you don't ask to be mauled by crazy women.

And really, it's not like me and KStew are that different.

I have dark brown hair, incredibly pale skin, and I love acting!

Hello, hello, and hello!

I'm reporting to you from

Sinus and Ear Infection Central!

For the next ten days I, Kellebelle1981, will be a walking pharmacy.

Lucky ducky me.

My favorite part is the part where I get to take two Amoxicillen three times a day for ten days.

It's not like these pills are exactly small and non-gaggable.

My other favorite part involves the drumming going on in my head every time I move.

So here I sit, trying to figure out if I'll be missing work again tomorrow or deciding on whether or not I should get sucked into the Paranormal Activity vortex of evil.

Have I mentioned the part where I feel like complete shit?!?!

The Lost City of Atlantis 2!

Once upon a time, Atlantis 2 was called Nashville/Nash Vegas, and was well-known as Music City USA.

This is what it looked like, loyal readers.

At some point in 2009 (Aprilish), the rain started, as it always does in April.

Then came summer...

and it got a smidge hotter outside.

But...the rain didn't stop.

Instead, we humble Nashville inhabitants are beginning to wonder if the sun really exists.

Instead, this is what we see every day now...

Should I build a giant boat and start bringing on two of every animal just in case?

I'm becoming quite concerned that we'll have to grow some gills and learn how to live like the fishes.

I love rain, but I don't like the idea of living underwater.

I'm more of a "breathing suits me just fine" kinda gal.

So............................

This rain has caused me to ponder many things in life.

After all, that nasty 2012 prophecy is coming soon, and I'm certain that Nashville, being the most important city on Earth, will meet its watery grave that same day the apocalypse hits us.

Anyhoo,

I began thinking about my Bad Attitude, and if I want to be remembered for being such a Debbie Downer after my life is over.

Really, who wants people to be like "Man, she was bitchy in life!"

And then I started thinking about how maybe I just need to eat more to solve more of life's problems.

1. Supernatural

Julie, you seriously suck for making me get addicted to a show where I am forced to watch a hot guy time and time again, knowing that he'll never come to my rescue when I need him!

All I can do is look at super sexy pictures and hope that if I talk about him enough, he will magically appear into my life, fall in love with me at first sight (especially since I myself don't believe in the concept), and beg me to be his woman for as long as he's smokin' hot.

2. Hot Angels

Yes, yes, I get that I shouldn't be lusting after an Angel of the Lord, but damn.

Castiel is a freakin' Angel and the reason I commit one of the Seven Deadly Sins.

If you're going to send down an Angel from Heaven, make sure he's as fugly as Zakariah.

Seriously?

I already have too many problems in my life.

I'm so not ready for God to smite me where I stand just yet!

3. Stefan Salvatore

Holy mother of all that is sexy in the world.

Please, please, please, please send this man my way!

I can't stop talking about him.

He's the reason I watch Vampire Diaries!

What Grinds My Gears

So, I was playing around on Facebook the other night, and seeing that I'm following the fanpage of one sexy James Wesley Marsters, I received notification that he'd be appearing on "Lie to Me."

I made a note to watch it.

I forgot.

Luckily, Julie had DVR'd it because she watches the show.

So we watched it tonight.

Why hello there, sexy prosecuting lawyer guy!

I only paid attention to the episode during your parts, and the rest of the time I dilly-dallied on my computer, doing God knows what.

Anyhoo, at the end of the episode, a very pissed off father of a 16-year-old girl who had sex with a college boy decided someone needed to be punished because the boy did not get in trouble in the end.

This got my attention...

(Side note: This is not an actual image from the show, but this how it ended.)

That awful daddy killed my hunka hunka burnin' love because his skanky daughter had sex with someone who was not a minor like her, and he wanted the blame placed on someone that wasn't her.

So this is what happened to me...

I am unable to cope with the death of another character played by James Marsters.

I picked up the Claire Danes hysterical cry from Romeo and Juliet.

It was quite tragic for me.

Stonehenge

So here goes!

When we left for Stonehenge on my 7th day in England, it was a lovely day outside.

The sun was shining.

The weather was comfortable.

We were ready for the two hour drive.

Fantastic.

When we got to Stonehenge...

This place has its own weather system.

No longer was the sun shining.

No longer was the weather comfortable enough to be jacket-less.

Do I consider this a good picture of me?

No!

Alas, the wind was blowing like crazy up in this weird spot!

See?

We pretty much gave up all hope of taking a cute picture at Stonehenge since we were practically sporting the Cousin Itt look that day.

Anyhoo, that is neither here nor there because Pocket Edward, that little bitch, took some great photos.

Too bad not all of them were as unamusing as this one.

So here is Pocket Edward, waving for the camera, his unyielding bouffant holding into place perfectly.

This is Stonehenge from one angle.

Here is another angle.

Notice how all these pictures will pretty much look the same.

The mystery surrounding Stonehenge is pretty fascinating, but really, rocks are boring when you take pictures of them.

I'm just sayin'...

This is where Pocket Edward got cocky.

He crossed over the rope to get a closer look at Stonehenge.

And this is what happened.

As you can see, I was about to take another picture of the rocks from yet another angle.

Then Pocket Edward jumped right up in there at the last second.

Nearing the end of our walk around Stonehenge, Pocket Edward decided he wanted another picture with the rocks behind him.

Back in the car, the little man wanted to try driving a British car.

Unfortunately, the car was a stick shift.

Even his vampire speed wouldn't change the fact that he's tiny and unable to get to the clutch and shift the gear and push the gas pedal and steer the wheel all at the same time.

So he decided to act as the GPS instead.

And that, my friends, concludes the Stonehenge trip!

We are getting quite close to being finished with the England pictures...sort of!

H'okay, so, I had some thoughts after watching tonight's episode.

Thought #1:

Vampires are HOT.

All right, I admit it...

I have that thought every day of my life.

Thought #2:

I was scratching my head when he appeared to show real concern for Horseface Vicki after she ran off and (his) Mommy Dearest insulted her.

If you read the books, maybe you got what I was saying there.

Why did the town get renamed Mystic Falls?

Why is Elana's aunt practically her age?

Why have the Salvatores lived there forever?

And is it weird to anyone else that Damon and Stefan live with their much older looking nephew?

Good morning, loyal readers!

I have now reached my

50th Post!

Now, as you are all aware, I am still nowhere near finished with my England pictures.

Unfortunately, I am a bit of a procrastinator.

I also tend to avoid doing things in a timely manner if they don't affect my income.

Anyhoo,

here we go!

While I was in England, I had the good fortune of catching the Tower Bridge while it was up!

This apparently doesn't happen often because even Hazel whipped her camera out for this sight!

I thought it was the coolest thing ever!

I don't know why.

I mean, it's not like we don't have bridges like that in the US.

It was just nifty.

Plus, it makes for a really cool picture! :)

Okay, we went to Harrods.

I bought a really cute purse and a really cute wallet while there.

I also stumbled upon this (*cough-tacky-cough*) memorial to Princess Diana and Dodi al Fayed.

I didn't make it to the fifth floor where there is apparently a creeptastic statue of Princess Diana in the food court.

Could we at least have a better picture of Diana in this memorial here?

Sheesh!

Me and Hazel went and just hung out (read: rested our feet) in St. James' Park for about an hour.

I was harassed by a bee.

Well, I thought it was a bee because it was black and yellow.

Hazel said it was a wasp.

Apparently they don't have our wasps over in England.

Just like they don't have mosquitoes or poisonous spiders/snakes/anything.

This knowledge, of course, only made England even more appealing to me!

See, in England, people do this thing after work to relax.

They go to the park and just sit and read or eat or hang out with their friends.

They walk around.

Okay, so I really miss England.

Today has once again been a rainy day here in Nash Vegas.

And I have not stepped one foot out of the house at all.

Sometimes I do that!

I'm taking advantage of today being Saturday and have exercised my rights to be as lazy as I want to be!

And by lazy, I mean I've been reading fanfiction all day.

Perhaps it's my unyielding draw to all sorts of Buffy fanfiction that causes me to read for hours.

Or my desire to find something good to read outside of the endless supply of books I have in front of me.

My name is Kelley and I have a non-stop reading problem.

I've been less than satisfied with the Twilight fiction I have come across.

I don't understand it, but most of it just plain sucks.

I never fail to find at least one highly entertaining Buffy story to curb my appetite for awhile though.

And they get higher points if they are Spuffy.

And they get even higher points if they are Spuffy smut!

I'm just sayin'...

Now onto some pictures from England.

Okay, so now my pregnant friend is concerned that she's too fat because of that statement made to her.

Number Two:

I'd like to remind people a few things about my job.

First of all, I am not a glorified babysitter!

If you think that little of my job, then you try doing it for a week!

Having said that, my job does not consist of me feeding, rocking, and putting babies to sleep all day.

If my job was that easy, then everyone would do it!

Next time you want to tell me that I act like my job is harder than it is, I'd like to remind you that you're not the one doing it for some reason, probably because you know in the back of your mind you're not emotionally capable of dealing with a room full of hungry, screaming children, trying to figure out the best way to take care of all their needs without ripping your hair completely out of your head.

So tell me, how would you cope if you had eight of these in your room, all needing something at the same time? Don't act like my job is easy by any means.

I worked a straight nine hour shift yesterday because we had SIX teachers out!

That probably doesn't seem like a big deal to someone who doesn't know anything about teacher to child ratios, but I didn't take a lunch break yesterday because we were so shorthanded.

On the upside of this, we all got free pizza from Costco for working instead of taking breaks.

I work 9-6, and the drive to and from work is a good 40 minutes.

I'm exhausted by the end of the day.

Childcare is not as easy as playing with babies all day.

Trust me.

I've been doing this since I was 19.

Lately I've been enjoying celebrity encounters.

I'm not sure how I've had time for this since my work hours are insane, but I still meet up with my hottie guys.

For instance:

Me and RPattz hung out in wedding attire the other day.

I don't know why.

We just felt like it.

He enjoys the fabulous pictures we take together!!

I know everyone has been concerned with my absences lately.

When did I turn into a zombie?!?!

I'm having a

BAD ATTITUDE DAY!

There are just some days...

SOME DAYS....

where it takes all my energy to NOT rip out my hair.

Problemo Numero Uno:

Today there was a torrential downpour.

It was thundering and lightning and raining like nobody's business.

You ever get stuck driving behind those people that

just...don't...know...how...to drive...in the freakin' rain?!?!

Well, I did today.

People slamming on their brakes like crazy at bad times.

People driving 10-15 miles under the speed limit because they missed the short bus!

Anyhoo, that's not the point.

My issue lies within my problematic car.

Don't get me wrong.

I LOVE my car!

It was my dream car!

However, my particular dream car that I found at Carmax once upon a time came with expensive as hell wheels, a turbo engine, and a ridiculous sunroof.

Here is a more accurate depiction of my ridiculous sunroof...except mine has a switch that controls all aspects of it on the interior.

My sunroof slides open so I can party hard and stick my hands through the opening like

WOOHOO!

It also has a setting that allows it to pop up (as seen in this picture).

It also has a setting that I always keep it on that tells it to stay the hell closed.

Alas...and yes, there is an alas...

my car has a mind of its own.

My little sunroof decides (while I am driving or parked or the car is turned off) to go on into pop up mode whenever it feels like it.

And today, my sunroof just felt like being in pop up mode.

Remember, Hurricane Bill apparently made his way to Nashville this morning.

Bill Compton, I will forever associate you with that stupid hurricane.

Your storm of annoyingness came in and ruined something that is probably going to cost me yet another arm and leg.

So thanks to my toddleresque sunroof,

rain got in my car.

But not in my car.

It seeped in between the frame and the soft fabric-y layer that insulates the interior.

So now, thanks to Nashville's own Hurricane Bill, I have a HUGE water stain on my car ceiling that is causing some drippage down my back window.

And it is starting to SMELL!!!!!

Conclusion?

I need to get a new car, as I cannot afford the expensive repairs called for on this car.

And I don't want to hurt my bug's feelings, but I don't make enough money to deal with this shit.

A new tire on my car costs over $200!!!

I'm just sayin'...

I'd start believing I was living in Paradise if there wasn't road work slowing me down everywhere I look!

I LIKE sitting in traffic!

I love sitting in traffic for so long that I have time to sit on my LG enV and check facebook, send a text, place a phone call, and still have time to tap my fingers impatiently against my steering wheel, thus hoping the gods of immenint road work will hear my pleas and let me through!!!

One day,

I received a text message that read

This picture came along, but I knew the threats coming from my brother-in-law were shallow and meaningless. And he still got to borrow "Role Models" out of it.

As it turns out, my dear sweet nephew grabbed the pocket pouch at some point and hid it in Mommy and Daddy's room.

Hever Castle and other stuff

Making the decision to not go to London for a day (because we needed a break from all the walking), Hazel took me to a place called

Hever Castle

which was once the home of Anne Boleyn.

So much for the "less walking" plan...

Still, it was a neat place to visit.

This is not the castle itself.

Duh.

It's just part of the gardens, but I thought it was cool.

So I took a picture.

Pocket Edward and Pocket Bella, who are all into that mushy romantic crap thought the gardens were another great place for a cute little couple picture.

Ugh...

get a room guys!

This is just a walking area to get around.

We couldn't just make a beeline for the castle.

That would have been way too easy.

So we admired all the splendor and beauty of the outside world at a fairly quick pace.

Seeing that Hazel and I are both fairly disinterested at "stopping to smell the roses" we made it around pretty fast (well, as fast as our extremely sore legs would take us).

They lived in the second moat.

Okay, we have now left the castle.

We went inside.

We did a quick look around.

They did not allow photography.

I suppose if you're dying to know what the inside looks like, you could visit the website or just travel there yourself.

There was a lot of old furniture in there.

And I think some pleasant (NOT) torture devices from back in the Dark Ages of torture.

Anyhoo, this is just a home on the castle grounds.

That's pretty much it.

It's a...shrubbery!!

I hope I look this good when I get to be 108.

I'm just sayin'.

There were a couple of old men taking their pictures with this sign.

Hilarious!!

And here we are.

We've reached the dreaded Yew Maze.

Pocket Edward tried to tell us not to go through it.

He kept mumbling something about Dark Wizards and creepy graveyards.

I don't know.

Since we outweigh him by like...a lot, we went in.

When we first entered the maze we thought it was going to be a piece of cake.

Seriously.

There were not many directions to choose from at first.

So onward we tread.

Ummm...needless to say, we ended up getting hopelessly lost.

We managed to find our way back to the beginning and then going the other way to find the end.

It was a little more complicated than we originally anticipated.

Well, good thing, considering it's a freakin' maze!!

We finally did make it to the center of the maze.

We survived.

We were starving.

Pocket Edward and Pocket Bella cheered because they survived.

Way to go, little peeps!

Now it's time to leave!

Keep in mind, if you ever go into a maze, it's probably good to remember which direction you came from to begin with, or you will just end up lost again.

We made it back to the center of the maze twice before finding our way back out into civilization.

Freedom!

It was a miraculous thing!!

Moving right along.

It was "old as dirt" car day at the castle.

There was apparently some sort of competition.

I don't know.

I took pictures because that's probably the closest I'll ever get to old ass cars still in operation.

I think this was part of the first moat, but it was way on down the line.

We were in search of food.

And a place to sit.

Here are some flowers.

I told you I took some pictures on the way back out!

Like I said, I'm not great at landscape type photos.

I just like colors!

So now you can chime in with an "ooh" or "aah"...

I thought these white plants were neat.

I think Hazel said they were called "icicle" or something like that.

*shrug*

What do I know?

I don't keep gardens.

I'm perfectly capable of killing fake plants.

Again, just thought they were pretty.

I have no clue what I was actually taking pictures of.

I'm like a baby with a shiny object, except it was bright and colorful.

Poor Pocket Edward.

He was drunk in this picture.

I don't know why.

He just couldn't manage to stand up.

And we thought Pocket Bella was the clumsy one!

And so goes another day in merry old England.

Hever Castle was pretty much the only thing we did that day.

Next time I go to England, I'm taking hiking boots for the London visits!

Random Thoughts of the Day:

1) I really miss Buffy the Vampire Slayer...

2) I almost vomited when Caleb poked out Xander's eye.

*Lucky for you, gentle viewers, I'm not going to post the picture of Caleb's thumb in Xander's eye socket.*

I just have one word:

GROSS.

Poor Xander.

3) Where has my Pocket Edward gone?

I can't find the little guy anywhere!!

I'm also unable to locate Pocket Spike, Pocket Illyria, and McCheffy!

Where have they run off to?

Did my nephew get them?

Did I leave them in my car?

I'm so stressed out about this!! :(

I remember taking the pocket pouch out of my purse one day!

Now they've disappeared!!

4) Summer needs to end like right now!!

5) I am so glad that tomorrow is Friday!

HBP, Shakespeare, Bridges, and TRUE BLOOD!

After an exhausting week back to work...

I am now ready to update my tale!

Right after we left Madam Tussaud's,
Hazel and I decided we wanted to do some more walking.
Okay, so I just wanted to walk across the Millennium Bridge.

Now, keep in mind, when you do not realize how big London is,
it's easy to say "Hey, let's go to the Millennium Bridge now!"

My legs and feet were screaming at me by the end of the day.

So naturally, I had to walk across it!

After completing our walk across the bridge we stopped at
The Globe Theatre.
Okay if you're not familiar with this theatre,
just watch Shakespeare in Love.

Anyhoo,
we could have paid to take a tour of the inside of this place
but..............
there was a show the night we went
so...............
we went inside the museum area and had a little fun.

Pocket Edward wanted to stand in front of the Romeo and Juliet display for Pocket Bella.

Then, Pocket Edward thought he would try being helpful by showing patrons the line-up of various Shakespeare plays.

He actually got bored of that pretty fast, so we walked into the gift shop.
Pocket Edward wanted to pose with his old chum Willie Shakespeare.
Puh-leaze little dude!

Not even Carlisle was alive during Shakespeare's time!!
Moving on!

Pocket Edward, understanding my limited funds, attempted to draw in donations for my vacation cause.
I don't think people donating to the theatre would have appreciated us taking the money for my recreational purposes, but you never know.

We decided to sit on the wall by the river for a minute.
I took this picture.
Pocket Edward jumped right on in.
Apparently he wasn't getting enough attention!

Okay so after we crossed the bridge, we were pretty ready to head back home.
We walked and walked trying to get to the nearest tube station.
Unfortunately, we were walking in the wrong direction.
So we walked some more to find a taxi to take us to the train station.
Taxis are everywhere in London!!
Unless we are trying to find one!
We walked for ten minutes before we were able to flag one down!
And our sore legs finally got to the platform at the train station.

Pocket Edward still had tons of energy left.
Hazel and I were about to pass out.
And we had to wait about an hour for the next train to arrive!
Yuck!

And here endeth another day in London!!
As an American I have to say that we really don't know the meaning of walking.
Seriously.
This trip to England had my legs hurting in places I didn't realize muscles existed!
Ouch-kabibble!!

All right, so here is the part where I take a moment to talk about things that are getting on my nerves.

GET OVER IT!!!
Why do we need to criticize her one way or another??
Is it our business?
Is it our job to look down our noses at her?
Who freakin' cares?!?!?

Again, I don't care!
Stop acting like the latest scandal is the first sex tape scandal ever!
And while you're at it, GET OVER IT!
Celebrities are people too!!!

I don't give a flying f*** if they are together or not!
Quit worrying about what the magazines are saying!
Let them have their damn privacy and stop making it
YOUR BUSINESS!
They are actors!
If they don't work out, they will still work onscreen if they are good at acting!

King's Cross, Madame Tussauds

Here it is, ladies and gents!

King's Cross does not look anything like the Harry Potter movies tell us.

Behold, the not so enchanting trolley through the brick wall.

Still, I did not let this obvious ploy deter me.
There had to be a way to get to Hogwarts
...or at least some other magical place.
I just knew it!

Pocket Edward tried dazzling the magic into working for us.
And if that didn't work we were hoping it would think he was Cedric Diggory.
Hmmm...guess you can't fool a sign.

After that, Hazel gave it the good ole college try.
Still, we were unable to pass through the wall.

At this point we figured...
Well, there happens to be two of us. Maybe if we just both push...really...hard... And before we knew it there was darkness... and some waiting.... and a little bit of chaos... but mostly some waiting....

We then found ourselves in quite a different magical land.
It was crowded.
People were pushy.
I had to elbow my fair share of people just to get pictures.

Yes, we were in the fantastical land of

and inside it was
COMPLETE
CHAOS!!!!

Don't even ask me who I had to shove out of the way for this picture!
And she was the first one!

Hazel then made a mad dash for the chair.
